Diane M. DeHoyos, a loving mother, grandmother, and sister passed away on August 23, 2024, at the age of 64. Born in Fremont, OH, on March 18, 1960, Diane was a proud graduate of Otsego High School in 1979 and later earned her Associate’s Degree from Owens Community College before becoming an LPN. She married Steve DeHoyos Jr. on January 31, 1986 and they were together until he passed away on February 16, 2015.
For 15 years, Diane worked tirelessly as a nurse at the Manor of Perrysburg, where she touched the lives of many with her compassion and care. In her free time, she found joy in watching Hallmark movies, coaching softball and keeping book, and trying her luck at the slot machines.
Diane is survived by her sons: Andrew and Gabriel DeHoyos; grandchildren: John and Oliver; siblings: Delia Gonzales, Josefina Gonzalez, Eleanor (Javier) DeJesus, Rosemarie (Steven) Barton, Fred Gonzales, Jovita Vargas; and many nieces and nephews. Diane was preceded in death by her parents: Francisco and Marie, husband Steve Jr., and siblings: Francisco Jr, Lupe, Mary Esther, Rosemary, and John.
She was a parishioner of St. Rose Perrysburg and St. Aloysius Catholic Churches and faith was a central part of her life. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandkids.
Visitation for Diane will be held on Tuesday, August 27 from 4:00 until the time of a rosary service at 7:00 pm at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home. On August 28, 2024 her funeral mass will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church at 11:00 am. A committal service at Fort Meigs Cemetery will immediately follow.
