Edgardo ‘Eddie’ Bandelaria

Edgardo “Eddie” Bandelaria, beloved husband, father, brother, father -in-law, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 87 in Bowling Green Ohio, under the compassionate care of Bridge Home Health & Hospice. He valiantly fought the side effects of couple of strokes, displaying unwavering strength and determination.

Born on December 10, 1936, in Manila, Philippines to the late Jacinto and Genoveva (De la Rosa) Bandelaria. Eddie was a graduate of Mapa High School and attended College Trade School in the Philippines. Eddie worked at Philips Bulb Co. and in Atlantic Gulf and Pacific Co. He came to the United States as an immigrant in 1988. He worked at Wood County in Maintenance Department.

Eddie lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was a man of simple pleasures, finding solace in listening to music, which brought him great joy throughout his years. He always enjoyed helping his family relatives and friends on their various home project.

Eddie’s greatest pride and joy were his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife Carolyn Bandelaria. He will deeply be missed by his loving sons, Jorge (Cristina) Francis (Marlyn), granddaughters, Jona, Joy, Jorgie, great granddaughter Keona, nieces and nephews, step daughters Renee Bockleman and Sandy Gargac who were blessed to have him as a role model and guiding light in their lives, Eddie’s wisdom, kindness, and enduring love will forever shape their paths.

Eddie was a caring brother, survived by his brothers Napoleon (Josefina), Bonifacio ( Agnes), Alex ( Emma) and sister- in-law Aliw Bandelaria. Their shared memories and brotherly bond will forever be cherished. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Rizalito Bandelaria.

Eddie will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his unwavering love for his family, and the joy he brought to those fortunate enough to have known him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Eddie’s visitation will be held on Tuesday December 19, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home located at 408 W. Wooster Street Bowling Green, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at St. Aloysius Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. 150 S Enterprise St. Bowling Green, Ohio. Father Tom McQuillen will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date with the family at Oak Grove Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Aloysius Catholic Church or Bridge Home Health and Hospice of Bowling Green.
