Edward E. Aring Jr., age 90, of Pemberville, OH, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Otterbein Portage Valley Senior Lifestyle Community, Pemberville, OH. He was born on July 14, 1925 in Bowling Green, OH to Edward E. and Mary M. (Brown) Aring Sr. On November 11, 1950 he married Lenore Paxton in New Rochester, OH and she survives. Ed worked as a manager at the Gibsonburg Grain Elevator. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Marine Corp during WW2 and was honorably discharged. His memberships include: Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Pemberville and Pemberville American Legion Freedom Post # 183. In his spare time Ed enjoyed gardening, bowling, polka dancing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Ed is survived by his wife of 65 years: Lenore, daughter: Lisa (Mark Hack) Aring of Austin TX, granddaughter: Candice (Kevin) Witt of Pemberville, grandson: Joshua Blevins of Toledo, great grandchildren: Zack, Luke, Noah, Kaylee, Kaden, brothers: Paul Aring and Milton (Celia) Aring both of Bowling Green. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Karla Kay Blevins and brothers: Don, Luther and Lee Aring.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 6-8 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH where funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 1PM. Burial will be in Pemberville Cemetery, Pemberville, OH with military honors presented by Pemberville American Legion Freedom Post # 183.
