Ellen Smith, 85, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Thursday April 24, 2025. She was born on April 16, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan to Bernard and Dorothy (Bullis) Lowe.
Ellen married Frank Smith on July 16, 1955. She loved doing ceramics and playing cards and board games with her family and friends. She also enjoyed raising Irish Setters. Her and Frank attended Portage Mt. Zion Church, the Bowling Green Nazarene Church and Trinity United Methodist Church. Ellen loved and cherished her family deeply.
Along with her husband, Frank, Ellen is survived by her son Bob (Vicki) Smith and daughter Barb Smith. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren Nathanael (Ambyr) Smith, Bethany (Tyler) Mohre, Emma Smith, Marla (Jeff) Biddle, and Amie (Andy) Euler. Also surviving are 10 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and Ellen’s siblings David Lowe and Edith (Robert) Snyder.
Ellen was preceded in death by her sister Ruth Ann Lowe.
Funeral services for Ellen will be private.
Memorial contributions may be given in Ellen’s honor to the “Fraternal Order of Eagles” 1163 N. Main St. Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
