Emilia Martinez, 52, of Cygnet, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Emilia was born on September, 23 1965 to Emiliano and Enedina (Casillas) Baldonado who survive her in Bowling Green, OH. She married the love of her life Amancio Martinez on June 1, 1991 at St. Aloysius Church.
Along with her parents and husband she is survived by her daughters: Elisa Martinez of Bowling Green, OH; Amanda Martinez of Cygnet, OH; son: Emilio (LeeAnna) Martinez of Bowling Green, OH; sisters: Nina Mominee; Josie Garner; & Julia Rios, all of Bowling Green, OH; brothers: Andy (Kira) Baldonado of Anna, OH; & Al Baldonado of Bowling Green, OH; grandchildren: Aurora, Gabriel, & Parker. Emilia was preceded in death by her grandmother: Elena & uncle: Ramon.
Emilia was a 1984 graduate of Elmwood High School and went on to work as an administrative assistant for the EPA for 30 plus years. She was a devoted member of St. Aloysius Church and would volunteer her time to help clean the church or bake cookies for blood drives. Emilia was always busy doing something. She enjoyed gardening, taking walks to get ice cream, and was masterful at Candy Crush on the computer. Emilia lived for her grandkids who in her eyes did no wrong. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation for Emilia will be on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 4:00 -7:30 PM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster St., Bowling Green, OH 43402, where a Rosary Service will be held at 7:30 PM. Emilia’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 150 South Enterprise Street, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Interment will immediately follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
