Emily, a young pittie mix who always has wiggle and tail wag, is at Wood County Dog Shelter

Meet Emily, a 1-year-old pittie mix that came to the Wood County Dog Shelter as a stray.  She had some pretty rough skin from untreated allergies when she came in.  She has been on medicated baths for the past couple of weeks and her skin is looking much better, according to Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding.

“She loves people, loves the other dogs, and always has a wiggle and tail wag to greet you,” Harding said. “She still needs some TLC, but she is feeling so much better than when she came in.”

Emily has had her DA2PP and Bordetella vaccines, had her flea/tick prevention, and is on the waitlist to be spayed.

The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.

The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
