Energetic dogs, Star and Angel, look for forever homes

From WOOD COUNTY DOG SHELTER

Everyone is invited to meet Star and Angel. These two came to the shelter as strays running loose together and are believed to be boxer/rottweiler mixes. They were very shy when they first came in, but are now slowly starting to learn that the world is not such a scary place.

They love to run and play in the dog park, love going for walks, and love running up and down the dog park fence when a dog is in the opposite yard. They are both spayed, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. They do not need to be adopted together.

The new 2026 adoption fee is $100 plus a $16 dog license.

The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, and can be reached by calling 419-354-9242.
