Eric M. Whalen, 45, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away October 1, 2023. He was born on May 12, 1978 to Scott Whalen and Colleen (Carty) Zajac.
Eric worked at Meijer as an information technologist. Eric loved listening to classical music and played the piano for many years of his life. He enjoyed watching movies and traveling with his family. He has traveled to Germany, Ireland and recently went on a cruise out of the country. Above all, Eric cherished the moments he got to spend with his family the most.
Eric is survived by his father, Scott (Linda) Whalen of Cape Coral, Florida, mother Colleen (Donald) Zajac, of Bowling Green, Ohio, siblings Jeremy Whalen of Plainfield, Illinois, Ann Whalen of Bowling Green, Ohio, Theresa Whalen of Bowing Green, Ohio, step-siblings, Douglas (Jessica) Zajac of Toledo, Ohio, Jason (Ruth) Zajac of Maumee, Ohio, Jacqueline Zajac of St. Pete, Florida, Misty Aiken of Flagstaff, Florida and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday October 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 150 S. Enterprise St. Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Father Tom McQuillen will officiate. Interment will follow at Pemberville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass at 11:00 a.m. A rosary service will be conducted at the church at 10:30 a.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
