Eugene (Gene) Wachter, age 85, peacefully passed away July 11, 2024 at Bridge Hospice, Findlay, Ohio.
Gene was the sixth child born in Bowling Green, OH to William and Esther (Eschedor) Wachter on May 3, 1939. He graduated from Bowling Green High School. Gene retired from Atlas Crankshaft, Fostoria, OH He was an avid camper, boater and fisherman. He enjoyed spending his summers at Sunset Shore, Port Clinton, OH.
Gene is survived by his 2 children: Debra Valentine (Findlay) and David (Diana) Fenimore (Navarre, FL). Gene’s grandchildren are William Valentine, Kristen (Cory) Berry, David Fenimore and Jonathan (Valerie) Fenimore. Great grandchild, McKena Berry and coming in September Liliana Fenimore.
Survivors are siblings: Ruth McCrary, Paul (Bea) Wachter, Leona Sheeks, Phyllis Charles and Rita Koepfer as well as many nieces and nephews and their children. Special Mention is our gratitude for Niece Marilyn Miller. Deceased are his parents, brothers Harold and Dennis Wachter; sisters Irene Traver, Carol Folk and Betty Lockwood.
A celebration of life will be held during the Wachter Reunion on Saturday, July 20, 2024. After our lunch visitors are welcome to attend at 1:00 pm at Needle Hall, Bowling Green City Park, Bowling Green, OH.
