The Nest is hosting a “Feather the Nest” fundraiser on June 22 at the Bowling Green Country Club.
The Nest provides childcare, preschool, and parenting classes for parents who are at the poverty level and are struggling to finish their education.
The gala fundraiser will feature a dinner and silent auction, starting at 5:30 p.m., at the country club on Fairview Avenue. Participants can browse the silent auction items until 6 p.m., when dinner will be served, followed by a presentation at the end of the meal. Dessert, coffee and tea will be served from 7 to 8 p.m., with additional time to browse the auction items. The auction will end at 8 p.m.
Tickets cost $30 per seat, and include dinner, access to the silent auction and the presentation.
A limited number of table sponsorships costing $200 are also available, which will include dinner for 4, access to the silent auction and the presentation, and the opportunity to participate in the table decorating contest. Sponsors will be given the opportunity to address the gala participants to promote their businesses.
Table decorating will be judged by the participants of the evening. White tablecloths and napkins will be provided, and table décor can feature a business or something related to The Nest. The contest winner will receive a team building experience.
