Francis “Frank” McKenna Jr., 67, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away on January 30, 2023 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Bowling Green.
Frank was born on February 18, 1955 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Francis and Elizabeth (Patrick) McKenna Sr. He married Denise Minnich on June 30, 1979 and she survives in Bowling Green. Frank is survived by canine companion Caleb, siblings: Lisa Constantin, Mark McKenna and Paul McKenna and sisters in-law: Stacy Poper, Kristi Chapman, Leslie Poper and Lisa Poper. He was preceded in death by his sister Karen McKenna.
Frank received his Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Service and International Politics from Penn State University. He then obtained his Master’s Degree in Political Science from East Stroudburg State College and his PhD in Political Science from the University of Maryland. Frank and Denise moved to Bowling Green, where he began his teaching career at Bowling Green State University in 1982 in Political Science and Public Administration, retiring in 2007.
Services for Frank will be private.
