Frank “Frankie” Robert Farrell, 60, Bowling Green, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2016. He was born on November 21, 1955 in Iron Mountain, Michigan to Everette and Eunice (Haug) Farrell. Frankie was an avid football player and started playing baseball when he was 8 years old. He played baseball for Hardwood/Felch baseball teams and played football for North Dickinson High School where he graduated in 1973. He loved collecting football and baseball cards and never missed a Detroit Tigers or Green Bay Packers game.
Frank lived in Hamler and Ottawa before moving to Bowling Green, Ohio. He worked at Campbell Soup and Phillips before attending Apollo Truck Driving School. After graduation he worked for Green Line, Pride, Rush, JB Hunt, and GetGo Trucking Companies. He loved driving from state to state.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents Everette and Eunice (Haug) Farrell.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Sonia (Norris) Farrell of Bowling Green, OH; daughter Goldie (Ben) Rediger of West Unity, OH; son Colton Farrell of Kalida, OH; grandchildren: Layni Allport, Trenton Figy, Ashlyn Figy, and Kason Rediger of West Unity, OH; sisters: Patsy (Roger) Steele of Marquette, MI, Kay Potvin of Escanaba, MI and Donna (Frank) Sturm of Chillicothe, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A memorial service will be on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, 408 West Wooster St, Bowling Green, OH 43402 with Pastor Jason Vickery officiating. Visitation will begin Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home.
