Bowling Green State University students will be partnering with the American Red Cross to encourage fire safety in the community.
On Saturday, Aug. 19, the students will be canvassing certain Bowling Green neighborhoods, offering to install up to three free smoke alarms in each home. They will also deliver door hangers containing information on fire safety and encourage residents to call to request free smoke alarms and installation.
All residents, in need of a smoke alarm, are encouraged to contact the American Red Cross of Northwest Ohio at 419-329-2900 or 1-800-RED-CROSS to schedule a free installation.
