Meet Gage, a 10-month-old mixed breed that came to the Wood County Dog Shelter as a stray with another dog. His buddy has been adopted but Gage is still looking for his forever home.
He does well with everybody from kids, adults, to other dogs. “He loves to play in play groups and loves everybody he meets,” Wood County Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding said. “He has been to adoption events with us and greeted everyone with a friendly wag.”
Gage is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
