Gary M. Buchanan, 79, of North Baltimore, died on Sunday, December 8, 2024. He was born on March 24, 1945, in Findlay to the late Carl M. and Ruth M. (Bard) Buchanan. He married the love of his life, Barbara Ann (Rose) on January 17, 1976, and she preceded him in death on October 20, 2024.
Gary is survived by his daughter, Stephanie (Al) Tatham of Weston; grandson, Aaron (Debbie) Loucks of North Baltimore; son, Thomas (Rhonda) Loucks of Green Springs, OH; daughter, Debra Reed of Findlay; brother, Lynn Buchanan of Salt Lake City, UT; sister, Nora (Lee) Shaffer of Cygnet; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Eberly.
Gary was U.S. Army veteran, and retired from BGSU as a Supervisor in the Carpentry Department. He loved being outdoors, in the woods and spending time at their family quarry.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2024, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore.
A private family graveside service will be held in Old Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore.
In lieu of flowers and/or memorial contributions it would be Gary and his families request that you enjoy a breakfast at your favorite establishment, by a stranger a cup of coffee, laugh until your face hurts, and treasure the love you have and you will find joy.
