The Grand Rapids Arts Council held its annual fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 2, in the Cadet West room of Nazareth Hall. Entertainment was offered by Dueling Pianos, a duo that encourages interactive experiences. Attendees were also able to enjoy a wine pull and raffles, as well as bidding on silent auction items. Items for auction included samples of merchandise from the village small businesses, paintings by local artists, gift certificates for downtown restaurants, beauty and relaxation opportunities, a pontoon ride, kayaking on the Maumee River, and a stay at a cabin in the Toledo Metroparks.
Artist Ian Dawson made two glass and iron sculptures for the event, one donated for the Volunteer of the Year award, which went to David Fowler. The Grand Rapids Arts Council thanks and encourages everyone to support the following local businesses and people who contributed to the benefit:
