Habitat for Humanity of Wood County invites community to volunteer open house

From HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF WOOD COUNTY OHIO

Habitat for Humanity of Wood County Ohio invites the community to its volunteer open house on Tuesday, Jan. 13, from 10 a.m. – noon, at the Wood County Habitat for Humanity office, 326 Industrial Parkway, Suite 1, Bowling Green.

This casual, drop-in event is a chance to meet the Habitat team, chat with current volunteers, and explore hands-on ways to get involved – whether on a build site or at the Habitat ReStore. Light refreshments will be provided, and no registration is required.

“Volunteers are the foundation of everything we do,” said Gina Skaggs, volunteer coordinator for Habitat for Humanity of Wood County Ohio. “Whether it’s building a home from the ground up, helping at the ReStore, or joining a committee, every person who gives their time helps strengthen families and neighborhoods right here in our community.”

Since 2000, Habitat for Humanity of Wood County Ohio has completed 58 homes for families across the county. The organization will be building two homes in Bradner and will complete critical home repairs in 2026.

“Volunteering with Habitat isn’t just about houses – it’s about people coming together to build something lasting,” added Skaggs. “Every nail, every smile, every donated hour builds hope.”
