Habitat for Humanity of Wood County will host its signature fundraising event – the “Hard Hats & High Heels” gala – which will bring together community leaders, partners, and supporters for an evening of entertainment and giving. The event will take place on Friday, Sept. 19, from 6 – 10 p.m., at Nazareth Hall, 21211 W. River Rd., Grand Rapids.

Guests will enjoy a cocktail hour, a chef-curated dinner, live piano music, interactive games, and both silent and live auctions – all to raise funds that directly support the construction of Habitat homes in Wood County.

Event highlights:

  • Cocktail hour & hors d’oeuvres
  • Silent auction: closes at 8 p.m. sharp
  • Live auction: features 12 packages
  • Blessing & song by Reverend Larry Swaisgood
  • Guest remarks from Habitat homeowner Krissy Dowden

The Habitat homes help provide stability, security, and opportunity for local families working toward affordable homeownership. The goal for the 2025 gala is to surpass all previous gala records and strengthen Habitat’s ability to serve more families in Wood County.
