The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department is planning a “Halloweekend of Fun” on Oct. 27-29. The activities scheduled for each day are as follows:
Frightful Friday Parent’s Night Out
Enjoy a night out while your kids enjoy a fun Halloween-themed night at the Bowling Green Community Center, on Friday, Oct. 27, from 5-9 p.m. The cost is $12 for city residents, and $15 for nonresidents. Must pre-register at https://buff.ly/46wfC3P
Children ages 5 to 12 are invited to join in activities, including games, arts and crafts, gym time, and the Freedom Climber rotating climbing wall.
Feel free to dress in Halloween costumes, but be sure to dress for activity with tennis shoes and clothes you can run in.
Spooky Saturday Family Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt
Bring a flashlight from home and take a walk on the wild side in Wintergarden Nature Preserve to search for themed pumpkins spread out around the designated trail (approximately ¾ mile), on Saturday, Oct. 28.
Participants may drop in anytime between 5 and 8 p.m., with no trail departures after 8 p.m.
After completing the trail, kids can pick up some sweet treats. Halloween costumes are welcome.
The hunt is free for all participants. No advanced registration is required
Spectacular Sunday Halloween Hoopla
Come to the BG Community Center for a day of fun family activities free of charge. Halloween-themed activities will include sidewalk chalk murals outside (weather permitting), game room activities, arts and crafts activities, fun in the gymnasium, and climbing wall activities. Halloween costumes are welcome.
This event is set for Sunday, Oct. 29, from 12-4 p.m.
No advanced registration is required.
