Meet Hank, a 6-7-year-old boxer mix, that came to the Wood County Dog Shelter as a stray and was never claimed. According to Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding, he is very laid back and loves to take leisurely walks.
“He does well with the other dogs at the shelter and is just looking for his retirement home,” Harding said. “He loves to hang out in the office and will do pretty much anything for some pets.”
Hank is neutered, vaccinated and heartworm negative.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
