Harold F Wolf

Harold Frederick Wolf, 95, of Perrysburg, passed away on February 9, 2026 at home.

He was born on September 8, 1930 to August and Viola (Moore) Wolf. He graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1948. Following graduation, he served in the Army Reserves until drafted into the U.S. Army Engineers.

After coming home in February 1955, he returned to farming. He also was a drainage contractor with Bob Lemmerbrock for several years. He married the love of his life, Alma Jean Hetrick, on August 18, 1956 at Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg. Harold and Alma raised two sons and had 59 years of marriage before her passing in 2015.

Harold often mentioned how lucky he was to farm and work with his family. The barn was always filled with feeder cattle and pigs for Cousin Ray Wolf to butcher and market. Tomatoes were his first choice to plant and harvest. Good weather, good labor, and good equipment made farming enjoyable. However, spending time with his family remained his greatest joy.

Harold is survived by his sons: Tom (Carol) Wolf of Pemberville, and Jim (Sue) Wolf of Bowling Green. Grandsons Andy (Michele) Wolf, Matt (Erin) Wolf, Adam (Kristen) Wolf, and special granddaughter, Amy Wolf. Harold has six great-grandchildren: MacKenzie, Cassidy, Jack, Kylan, Jett, and Jovi Wolf. Harold is also survived by a sister, Margaret Sheldrick of Perrysburg. In addition to his wife, Alma, preceding him in death was a sister, Dorothy Bruning, and brother, Arnie Wolf.

Harold will be laid to rest next to Alma at a graveside service to be announced at a later date in New Bellville Ridge Cemetery, Dowling, OH.

The family wishes to extend a very special “Thank You” to all the caregivers from Hospice of Northwest Ohio for all of their thoughtful care of Harold during the last few months.
