Ice cream social with ‘Ice Cream Face’ author celebrates Dolly’s Imagination Library

The Wood County District Public Library celebrate the Dolly Parton Imagination Library in Wood County, and Woodlink’s support for the program, with an Ice Cream Social featuring author and illustrator Heidi Woodward Sheffield on Wednesday, June 5 at 3:30 p.m. in the Bowling Green Library Atrium.

Sheffield, creator of the 2024 Imagination Library selection “Ice Cream Face” and other beloved children’s books, will read “Ice Cream Face.”

The event will also include information about Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Wood County as well as free ice cream and fun activities.

A selection of Sheffield’s books will be available for purchase. After reading her story, she’ll be available to sign books.

Woodlink, which serves  the seven independent public library systems in Wood County – North Baltimore Public Library, Pemberville Public Library, Rossford Public Library, Way Public Library, Wayne Public Library, Weston Public Library and Wood County District Public Library – supports Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Wood County. The program mails kids birth through age 5 one free book each month at no cost to families.
