Jack Rowland

Jack Rowland, 18, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away on May 24, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to others. Known as a jack of all trades, Jack had a heart as big as his skillset and a gentle spirit that touched everyone he met.

A recent graduate of Otsego High School and PENTA Career Center, where he studied Industrial Maintenance, Jack was already working full-time at Baker-O’Brien’s while building a promising future. He approached every task with determination and a quiet pride, earning the respect of his peers and mentors alike.

Jack loved the outdoors – whether it was hunting, fishing, gardening, or spending time by a campfire. He had a passion for four-wheelers, pontoon boats, deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, and exploring new adventures. He enjoyed camping, golfing, and spending time at Cedar Point, and he cherished simple joys like Penn State football, sleeping, and eating foods like Buffalo chicken dip, hot sauce, and “salad” with croutons and ranch dressing.

A proud member of FFA, Scouts, and various athletic teams including basketball, baseball, and track & field, Jack brought his all to everything he did. He was also known for his incredible ability to fix anything – from engines to glasses – and was always ready to help someone in need.

Jack was affectionately called a “giant teddy bear” by those who loved him – kind, always smiling, determined, and helpful. He had a special way of making others feel seen and cared for, whether it was through a kind word, lending a hand, or just being present. He loved spending time with his younger sister, his girlfriend Julia, little brothers, and a close circle of friends: Camden Small, Cole Hogrefe, Bryce Springstead, Drew Vollmar, Ben Jones, Reed Canterbury, Austin Conklin, and Wes Shidler.

In his free time, Jack enjoyed playing pool on his “free” possession, poker, bingo, XBox and the game “Shut the Box.” His sense of humor, generosity, and warmth will be missed more than words can express.

He is survived by his parents Julie (Sean) Russian and Josh (Erica) Rowland; siblings Justin Rowland (Tyne Rosebrock), Janelle Rowland, Charles Russian, and Mason Russian; step brothers Brant and Logan Kitchen; and his loving girlfriend of over a year, Julia Schroeder, as well as multiple extended family members. Jack also leaves behind grandparents Joseph (Karen) Printke, and James (Judy) Rowland; his aunt Christina (Greg) Coyne; uncles Robert (Lauren) Printke, Tyler (Sara) Rowland, and Tiffanie (Steve) Creager; and cousins Lucy Printke, Riley Rowland, Francis Printke, and Robert Rowland. He will also be missed by his loyal dog Diesel.

Jack was preceded in death by Berlinda Rowland, Sarah Rowland, Louis Junge, Robert Rowland, Rose Printke, Carina Junge, Irene Beaudry, Lawrence Beaudry, and William Beaudry. Jack was a light in the lives of many – a son, brother, grandson, cousin, friend, and bright young man with so much heart. He leaves behind a community that is better because he was part of it and a legacy that will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd at Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., Toledo, OH from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service which begins at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
