Janet Louise (Ford) Endsley, 95, of Bowling Green died August 28, 2024. Born on February 27, 1929, in Richmond, IN to Cecil C and Velma (Gibson) Ford, she was the fifth of six children. She married her high school sweetheart, James W Endsley on August 21, 1948.
Janet graduated from Richmond High School and attended Indiana University before leaving to raise her three daughters. She returned to college earning an associate’s degree in early childhood development from OSU Lima. She was known for her love of family and children, having worked as a children’s librarian before venturing into the world of antiques and collectibles sales.
She loved sports, especially baseball, with the Cincinnati Reds being her favorite team. Janet was an avid reader and intrepid traveler.
She is survived by her daughters: Nancy Endsley and Laura (Gary) Charland; grandchildren: Clark (Elizabeth) Coriell, Colin (Rebekah) Coriell, Lauren (Andrew Fraser) Coriell and Ian (Shannon Davis) Charland as well as her great grandchildren: Hayden, Hunter, Harper, Henley, Harlow, and Jenny. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband James; daughter Jenny (Tom) Coriell and siblings: Byron, Lynn, Harold, LaVada and Gerald.
A Graveside Service at Oak Grove Cemetery will be on September 3, 2024, at 1:00 pm to celebrate Janet’s life.
Contributions in her honor may be gifted to the Wood County Library.
