Jean Beaverson, 91, of Bowling Green passed away Thursday July 14, 2016.
Jean was born in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late Herbert Rogers and Thelma (Johnson) Cunningham. She married Royce E. Beaverson on October 25, 1943 and he preceded her in death on December 30, 1988. Jean is survived by her children: Royce ( Ruth Ann) Beaverson of Bowling Green, Dennis (Nancy) Beaverson, The Villages, Florida, Dale Colleen (Richard) Schwab of North Baltimore and Kristy (Jeffrey) Muir of Bowling Green; grandchildren: Scott (Holly) Beaverson, Kim Luther, Shawn Beaverson, Grant (Maura) Beaverson, Corey (Michelle) Schwab, Kyle Schwab, Marni (Levi) Petit, Justin Muir and Lon (Kristin) Muir; 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild and a host of Espen Cousins. She was also preceded in death by special sister Betty Newlove.
Jean was a 1942 graduate of Bowling Green High School. After graduation, Jean worked as a secretary for E.N Littleton, the principal at the old Bowling Green High School. She was also a secretary for Robert Fries, the former prosecuting attorney for Wood County and then a secretary for Marsh and Marsh Attorneys. Jean was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bowling Green and enjoyed reading, especially romantic fictions. She was known to read more than one book at a time, but her favorite book to read was the Godfather.
Visitation for Jean will be on Monday July 18, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster St., P.O Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402, where her funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 19, 2016 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery.
