Jeffery B Schroeder

Jeffery B. Schroeder, 54, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away on May 7, 2025. He was born December 26, 1970, in Toledo, Ohio to Barton and Nadine (Brown) Schroeder.

Jeff worked as a Licensed PTA at Heartland of Perrysburg for many years. He was known for being a hard worker—someone who showed up, did what needed to be done, and gave his all. But beyond his work, Jeff was a man full of life. He loved music of all kinds—especially Bob Marley and country—and could often be found singing along or dancing like nobody was watching. He had a goofy sense of humor, an unforgettable laugh, and was rarely seen without a smile.

A true outdoorsman, Jeff found peace in nature. He loved traveling—especially to the mountains or the ocean where he could body surf and soak in the sun. He cared deeply for animals, often taking in strays or looking after wildlife in his own quiet way. At home, he was happiest cooking a good meal, blasting music, or spending time with those he loved.

Jeff was a sports enthusiast through and through—a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan, an avid golfer and basketball player, and a dedicated coach to his kids. He taught all of his children to be strong—to show up, keep going, and give their best no matter what. Whether on the court or in life, he encouraged resilience, toughness, and heart.

Jeff was someone who would give the shirt off his back. He was generous, spirited, and full of energy. He loved to laugh, to dance, to be silly, and to bring joy wherever he could. He lived loudly, loved deeply, and will be remembered for the fire he carried and the connection he brought to the people around him.

He is survived by his father, Barton J. Schroeder; his children, Barton S. Schroeder, Chelsea C. Schroeder (Joseph Seedorf), Corinne R. Schroeder, and Siera C. Schroeder; and his sister, Jennifer R. Schroeder. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nadine Schroeder, and his son, Colten J. Schroeder.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Farnsworth Indianola Shelterhouse, 8505 S. River Rd., Grand Rapids, OH 43566. All are welcome to join the family in honoring Jeff in the way he would’ve wanted: surrounded by nature, music, and the people he loved.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home in Waterville, Ohio. For those who wish to share a memory, offer condolences, or send a gesture of sympathy, please visit www.dunnfuneralhome.com.
