Meet Jodie, a 10-month-old pittie mix that came to the Wood County Dog Shelter as a stray last month.
“She is a huge sweetheart who just wants to curl up in your lap after a nice long walk,” Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding said. “She loves to play in the water, loves everybody she meets, and loves to play with the other dogs.”
“She is an active girl and is looking for the same in her forever family. She will need some work on her manners because she still wants to jump up to greet you, but she is trying,” Harding said. “She is a young girl who loves to play with toys. All she needs is her forever family.”
Jodie is 40 pounds, spayed, heartworm negative, and up to date on her vaccines.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
