I am writing this in support of Councilwoman Rachel Phipps’ re-election as my ward’s city councilperson.
In just two years on city council, it has already become clear she is the right person for this job. As evidence, Councilwoman Phipps has taken public health seriously during a global pandemic and developed Bowling Green’s sustainable development plan to mitigate the climate crisis.
It is also clear through her actions in government that Councilwoman Phipps has empathy for people and will therefore make decisions considerate to the needs of each person in our community. It would be wise to keep someone like Councilwoman Phipps in our local government.
