Joyce Henning passed away peacefully on November 17, 2018 in Bowling Green, Ohio at the age of 84. She was born February 1, 1934 to Theodore and Esther (Grimm) Fischer. Joyce was a resident of McClure, Ohio for 32 years.
In her first marriage she had three wonderful daughters. Then in February 1979 she married Richard H Henning who preceded her in death in December 2010. She graduated from Haskins High School and worked as a waitress at the Clock Restaurant for 19 ½ years. Joyce was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haskins, Ohio. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran in Bowling Green, and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in McClure.
Joyce is survived by her 3 daughters Jackie (Jim) Bechstein of Bowling Green, Jo Ette Chamberlin, and Rhonda (Rob) Fogle of Mt. Victory, Ohio, 5 grandchildren Shelly Cobb (Steve Poland), Jeremy (Kelly) Bechstein, Joey (Josh) Marten, Bradley Chamberlin, Kacy (Byron) Damron, 6 great grandchildren, Lane, Lynette, Zach, Wyatt, Toby and Trent, sister, Pauline Boyle, her special feline companion “Princess” and her step family. Her parents and her sister Doris Abke preceded her in death.
She loved to bake cookies for family and friends, loved music, played the piano, and loved butterflies and flowers along with traveling with her late husband Richard.
On her request there will be no visitation and a private family ceremony will be held at a later date. May God bless you all in the palms of His hands until we meet again.
Memorials are encouraged to the Wood County Humane Society and her grandchildren’s education fund at the 5/3 Bank.
Joyce’s arrangements were entrusted to Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, Tontogany, Ohio.
