Judge Reger to discuss the Constitution, Sept. 17

From WOOD COUNTY DISTRICT PUBLIC LIBRARY

The Exchange Club of Bowling Green invites the community to a conversation on the U.S. Constitution with Wood County Common Pleas Court Judge Matthew L. Reger on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. This program will be held in the second floor programming room at the Bowling Green library, 251 N. Main St.

Why is the U.S. a republic and what does that mean? How does this document work within the complex legal system? What are the six independent rights found in the first Amendment? These questions and more will be discussed with Judge Reger and attorney Chet Marcin. This public event is meant to explain the Constitution from a legal perspective and entertain questions about its enduring influence on everyday life.

Reger has been on the bench since 2017. Prior to that, he was the Bowling Green municipal prosecutor for 20 years. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1990 and the University of Toledo College of Law in 1993.
