She has performed in OMEA Solo and Ensemble for both piano and voice. Barnett is also active in the Spanish club, serving as social media officer. Her passion for science has led her to participate in research at Purdue University’s Agriculture Science Research Institute, where she worked on soybean genetics, and at Bowling Green State University in a biological sciences lab studying gene editing.
Barnett is a graduate of the BG Leadership program through the BG Chamber of Commerce and represented Bowling Green High School at the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) Seminar and the Northern Lakes League Mental Health Conference.
