Karen Kay Stanish, 57, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away November 1, 2016. She was born July 25, 1959 in Bowling Green to Herbert M. and Mary “Sue” (Buchman) Kinder. She married Leonard G. Stanish on November 25, 1987 and he survives in Bowling Green.
Karen was a lifelong townie graduating from Bowling Green High school in 1977 and Owens Community College in 1984. She worked as a registered nurse at Wood County Hospital for many years. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bowling Green. Karen loved warm weather and the beaches of Florida where she hoped to move some day. Her greatest joy in life came from spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Along with her husband Leonard, Karen is survived by her son Chip Stanish of Columbus, Ohio, daughter Emily Stanish of Rossford, Ohio, two grandchildren Landon Stanish and Tariq Smith, sister Amy Wilhelm of Bowling Green and brother Gregory Kinder of Creve Coeur, MO.
A memorial mass will be held on Monday November 7, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 150 S Enterprise St. in Bowling Green. Father Mark Davis will officiate. Visitation will begin on Monday at 12:30 p.m. at the church. Dunn Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
