It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Katherine Dieterich, a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother. Katherine was born on December 27, 1956, and passed away on September 24, 2024. She leaves behind her sons: Andy and Tony Martinez, daughter Martha (Josh) Knoke; grandson Alan; siblings: Diane Dieterich (Carol Deel), John (Kathy) Dieterich and Dave (Pat) Dieterich.
Katherine graduated from Rocky River High School and went on to attend Bowling Green State University. She dedicated over 30 years of her life as a police dispatcher for the BGSU Police Department, a role she cherished deeply. Katherine enjoyed reading, music, and cheering on her favorite teams, the Cleveland Indians/Guardians and Browns. Above all Katherine loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson.
Visitation for Katherine will be held on September 30, 2024 from 4:00 pm until the time of a vigil service at 7:00 pm at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, 1460 W. Wooster Street, Bowling Green, Ohio. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 150 S Enterprise Street, Bowling Green at 10:30 am.
