Kathleen Michaelis, 83, of Huron, Ohio and a former longtime resident of Custar and Tontogany passed away surrounded by her family on May 25, 2016. She was born March 3, 1933 to Henry & Grace (Kline) Funk in Custar, OH. Kathleen was a graduate of Hoytville High School in the class of 1951. On August 1, 1964 she married Paul A. Michaelis at the Church of the Brethren in Deshler. He preceded her in death on November 12, 2015. Survivors include, daughter Sonya (Brian) Cook of Huron, Ohio, and grandchildren Brice and Ashley Cook. She was preceded in death by her grandson Klyee Cook, her parents, and sisters Freda & Ruth Funk. Visitation will be Tuesday May 31, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 18620 Washington St. Tontogany Ohio. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Wiles officiating. Burial will follow at the Weston Cemetery.
