Leadership BG Class of 2025 to hold community service project for Wood County Area Ministries

The Leadership Bowling Green Class of 2025 will hold a community service project featuring a cornhole tournament, food, and other activities, all benefiting Wood County Area Ministries (WAM). 

This event is designed to support WAM in its mission to assist local individuals and families facing critical short-term needs within Wood County.

Set to take place on May 9, from 5 to 9 p.m., at Arlyn’s Good Beer, 520 Hankey Ave., Bowling Green, this family-friendly event will include a variety of activities designed to engage the community and support a local cause. The event will feature:

• Cornhole tournament.

• Live music featuring Tito Villarreal, a bluesman from the Flint, Michigan, area.

• Food and refreshments by Tamale Guy Food Truck.

• 50/50 raffle.

• Raffle baskets donated by local businesses.

• Kids’ area with activities to keep children entertained.

Leadership Bowling Green is a nine-month program that fosters leadership skills, enhances knowledge of local issues, and builds professional networks through interactions with community leaders. This initiative highlights community issues and promotes collaboration and dialogue across public and private sectors. Each class is challenged to complete a community service project, allowing them to apply their leadership training while making a positive impact.
