Leslie Jeanne Hafner age 72, of Perrysburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born on April 20, 1953 in Toledo, OH to Frederick L. and Mary E. (Forrey) Hafner.
A woman with a strong work ethic, Leslie worked as a nurse with a career that spanned over 50 years. She started at Mercy Hospital, later was with Hospice of Northwest Ohio, was in medical sales and then worked for Paramount before retiring. Leslie’s nursing career allowed her to work with various institutions and in numerous capacities. She enjoyed gardening, attending Bible Study Fellowship, walking with her beloved dog, Lucy, and her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her three grandchildren.
Leslie is survived by her children: Emily (David) Hayes of Bowling Green, Ben Stanton of Perrysburg, and Kate Stanton of Perrysburg. Grandchildren: Noelle Faith Hayes, Matthew Joseph Hayes, and Isabelle Grace Hayes. Sister, Judy Monaghan, and brother, David (Rita) Hafner. Leslie was preceded in death by her biological father, parents, David and Mary Smith, brother, Fred Hafner, father of her children, Michael Stanton nephew, Paul Hafner, and grandnephew, Andrew Krisiewicz.

Family and friends will be received 9-11 a.m., Saturday, December 20, 2025 with a Funeral Service at 11 a.m., at Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home 110 Main Street Luckey, OH 43443. Officiating will be, Leslie’s son Ben Stanton. Interment will be in Troy Township Cemetery, Luckey, OH.
