Lester E. Ford, 85, of Pemberville, Ohio, passed away on Friday September 19, 2025, at Otterbein Senior Living. He was born on November 24, 1939, to the late Clarence and Zelma (Avery) Ford in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Lester was a graduate of Bowling Green High School, class of 1958. Shortly after he graduated, he started working at Brush Wellman in Elmore, Ohio. He worked his way up becoming a foreman and retired in 2004.
Lester married Joyce Stickel in 1961, and they were blessed with three children: Sandy, Lori and Jeff. They later divorced. Lester found love again with Judy Jennings, his high school sweetheart. They were forever engaged until her passing on February 13, 2019.
Lester is survived by his daughters Sandra (Randy) Gardner of Bowling Green, Lori (Tom) Avers of Gibsonburg, daughter-in-law Tammy Ford of Toledo, grandchildren Brooks (Laura) Gardner, Christina (Jordan) Olmstead, Austin (Brittanne) Gardner, Brent (Stephanie) Lowry, Danielle Lowry, Brock (Kylie) Avers, Taylor (Junior) Adame, Ryan (Karis) Avers, Brady Ford, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Along with his loving partner Judy, Lester was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey Ford, sisters Mary Bertelson, Audrey Falls, Shirley Fox and brother Sonnie Ford.
A visitation for Lester will be held on Wednesday September 24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home located in the Historical District of Bowling Green, Ohio at 408 W. Wooster St. Pastor Stephen Lutz will officiate. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
