From WOOD COUNTY DISTRICT PUBLIC LIBRARY
The Wood County District Public Library will be encouraging local fiction writers with a series of workshops this summer. The first workshop begins Monday, June 10 at 7 p.m. on the second floor of the library.
“By the end of this workshop, everyone should have a toolbox of techniques they can apply to their craft,” said Neeru Nagarajan, the workshop leader.
“There is no one way to tell a good story,” said Nagarajan. “This workshop is for everyone who loves writing fiction, and you don’t have to be an experienced or published writer to participate.”
Neeru Nagarajan is a storyteller and poet from Chennai, India. She is one of the honorary mentions of the 2019 Norton Girault Literary Prize, and her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Forge Literary Magazine,Hypertext Magazine, Sahitya Akademi’s Indian Literature, and elsewhere. Her book of short fiction, Of Bridges Among Us, was published by Palimpsest Publishers (New Delhi, India) in 2015. She is an MFA candidate at Bowling Green State University, where she also teaches writing.
