Lois M. Ladd, age 95, of Pemberville, OH passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 while sitting at the breakfast table with her husband by her side. She was born on April 4, 1921 in Pemberville to August and Mary (Eilert) Rahe. Lois was born in the same house she passed way in. When she was younger she worked at the Jeep Plant in Toledo during WWII. On August 4, 1945 she married Robert Ladd in Pemberville and became a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. Lois was a life member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Pemberville, belonged to two card clubs and was in the Bowling Hall of Fame, Bowling Green. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting and needlework.
Lois is survived by her loving husband of 71 years: Bob, children: Mary (Fred) Burkholder of Pemberville, Chuck (Jean) Ladd of Bowling Green, 8 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and sisters-in-law: Jean Ladd of Woodville and Betty Rice of FL. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter: Betsy (Ladd) Board and brothers: Louis, Norman and Wayne Rahe.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 10-11 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 220 Cedar Street, Pemberville where funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Matthew Musteric. Interment will be in Pemberville Cemetery, Pemberville. A bereavement luncheon will be served at the church immediately following the cemetery committal services. Memorial contributions may be given to: Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Pemberville Freedom Fire Dept. or Pemberville Food Pantry.
