Long-stay resident Lana seeks new home

Lana

From WOOD COUNTY DOG SHELTER

The Wood County Dog Shelter invites everyone to meet Lana. She is a 6- to 7-year-old mixed breed dog that was brought to the shelter as a stray. She came to the shelter in a bit of rough condition with hardly any hair, and she was very thin. Lana is doing much better now, has gained weight, and has almost all of her hair back.

The shelter says Lana is the perfect age, because she has some energy, but also knows when it is time to relax and be calm. She loves being pet and going for walks. Lana can be a little nervous when first meeting new people, but after a couple of seconds, she warms right up.

Lana is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccines, and heartworm negative. She is currently the long-stay resident at the dog shelter.

The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.

The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
