Lorenna Jean Rothert (Lori) passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones, on May 21st, 2024. She was born on December 3rd, 1947, and adopted by Roy and Margaret Edwards.
She was a proud Alumni of Bowling Green State University, where she received her degree in Education and Home-Economics. After graduating college, she met her husband Charles J. Rothert (Died in 2011), and later had their son Ryan.
Lori’s passion for teaching was exemplified in every aspect of her life, whether it was teaching in a classroom full of students, or teaching her two grandchildren Grace and Nicholas, at home after school.
Lori was a member of the Ohio Education Association. She was an avid crafter and created some of her favorite memories making homemade cards with her close circle of friends, that later became as close as family. Lori will be remembered by many as one of the kindest most caring people the world has ever encountered.
Left to cherish Lori’s memory is her son, Ryan (Tasha) Rothert, grandchildren, Grace and Nicholas Rothert. Brothers: Keith (Debbie) Edwards, Doug (Gail) Edwards, sister, Carol (Dan) Lindsay and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband Charles, she was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Margaret Edwards.
Lori will be laid to rest next to Charles at a family committal in Harris-Elmore Cemetery in Elmore. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to: The Victory Center of Toledo.
