Lorrie V. Shreve, 72, of Portage, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025. Born on March 10, 1953, in Celina, Ohio, Lorrie devoted her life to education and family, leaving behind a legacy of love and commitment.
Lorrie earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Wright State University and dedicated many years to inspiring young minds as a 1st-grade teacher at Cory Rowsen Elementary. In her later career, she transitioned to the role of administrative assistant at Northwest Tire, where she continued to impact those around her with her kindness and dedication.
Lorrie is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Shreve, her siblings: David (Anita) Sites, Nan (John) Wylie, Lou Ann Sites and numerous nieces and nephews.
A passionate dog lover, Lorrie trained and competed in obedience, agility, and Schutzhund, finding joy in the companionship of her canine friends. Her love for family was paramount, and she cherished the moments spent with them, despite the geographical distance that often separated them.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lorrie’s honor may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or Mercury One.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones.
