Meet Love, the current long stay at the Wood County Dog Shelter. She is a 1-year-old boxer mix that came to the shelter as a stray.
“She is a higher energy dog who is looking for the same in her forever family,” Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding said. “She can be shy at first and takes a couple of minutes to warm up to you. She does great with some dogs but not others so a meet and greet would be required before she goes home. She loves to run in the dog park, loves to play ball, and loves going for walks.”
Love is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
