The City of Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department has announced the return of Lunch in the Park.
The Lunch in the Park series takes place on select Fridays in June, July and early August from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in City Park. Each week will feature different dining options with local restaurants providing meals as local musicians provide free performances.
These events take place at the Martin and Kiwanis Shelters (weather permitting) or move indoors to the Veterans Building atrium in cases of bad weather.

- June 7 – Food by Kabob It, music by Tim Tegge, and sponsored by PT Link Physical Therapy
- June 14 – Food by Sundae Station, music by Jeff Tucker, and sponsored by Corner Dental BG, BG Pediatric Dental Group, and Precision Orthodontics
- June 21 – Food by Qdoba, music by Ragtime Rick performing on piano with Banjo Betsy, sponsored by Brookdale Senior Living
- June 28 – Food by Call of the Canyon, music by Tim Concannon performing on guitar, sponsored by Bowling Green Community Foundation
- July 5 – No Lunch in the Park due to holiday
- July 12 – Food by Beckett’s Burger Bar, music by Tapestry performing on harp and guitar, sponsored by Corner Dental BG, BG Pediatric Dental Group, and Precision Orthodontics
- July 19 – Food by SamB’s, music by Gene Parker Trio performing jazz, sponsor needed – contact Ivan at BG Parks & Rec if interested.
- July 26 – Food by Pagliai’s Pizza, music by Spittin’ Image performing on guitars, sponsored by Bates Recycling
