M. Maxine Buchman, 99, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Sunday May 19, 2019 with her family by her side. She was born to the late Herman and Elmira (Munn) Green on May 6, 1920 in Bowling Green. She married James H. Buchman on February 12, 1944 and he preceded her in death.
Maxine was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bowling Green where she was a member of the Alter and Rosary Societies. She spent several years making hand-made baptismal bibs for the church. Maxine worked as a seamstress for Wood County Hospital for over 20 years. She served on the Wood County Farm Council. Maxine loved to quilt and quilted for many years.
She is survived by her children James “Jim” (Gloria) Buchman of Bradenton, Florida, Thomas “Tom” Buchman of Bowling Green, Ohio, Rosann (Mark) Keiser of Put-In-Bay, Ohio and Pam (Denny) Bowen of Bowling Green, Ohio. She is also survived by her sister Gladys Tyler of Bowling Green, Ohio, daughter-in-law Sue Buchman, grandchildren Heather, Daniele, Joanna, Tomi-Lynn, Tye, Travis, Andrea, Amanda and Aaron, great-grandchildren Olivia, Jason, Parker, Maddox, Asher, Henry, Edward, Cassandra, Camden, Colton, Nathan, Will, Garrett, Paige, Quinn, Lily, Adalynn, Amelia, Olen and Augustine and great-great-grandchildren Jimmy, Emil and Wyatt.
Along with her husband James, Maxine was preceded in death by her son William “Bill” Buchman, sisters Grace Roe and Opal Euler and grandchildren Mary and Joseph.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday May 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 150 S. Enterprise St. in Bowling Green. Father Mark Davis will officiate. Interment will follow at Wood County Memory Gardens in Bowling Green. Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster St.
Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to St. Aloysius or Heartland Hospice.
