Meet Macy, a 2-year-old pittie that was surrendered to the Wood County Dog Shelter because her owners no longer had time for her.
“She is a little bundle of energy in a pint-sized package,” said Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding. “She loves every person she meets, has done well with the other dogs at the shelter, and loves to ‘talk’ to you.”
Macy is spayed and has had her DA2PP and Bordetella vaccines. She can be a little too high energy for some dogs, so a meet and greet is recommended with her, Harding suggested.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
