Mary Ann Stretchbery, 86, of Bowling Green passed away March 9, 2022. She was born in Jerry City to the late Harmon and Dottie (Winton) Rose on March 30, 1935. She married Foster “Duz” Stretchbery on April 19, 1957 and they were married for 50 years before he passed away on February 14, 2008.
Mary Ann is survived by her children: Christina (Ron) Spathelf; Foster “Ed” Stretchbery; daughter-in-law: Carol Stretchberry; grandchildren: Curtis Stretchbery, F. Bradley Stretchbery; and Shelbi (Cody) Thornton; great-grandchildren: Bradyn, Cora, Delaney; siblings: Nancy (Ed) Perkins; Judy (John) Swanson; Jack (Carol) Rose; John (Ruth) Rose. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband Duz; a son Danny; and a brother Jim.
Mary Ann graduated from Cygnet High School. She worked for Pioneer Packing and Cains Potato Chips. She liked to enter contest and sweepstakes where she was lucky enough to win a number of trips and nice prizes. She enjoyed going to the casinos and visiting with family and friends. Her grandchildren were #1 in her life.
Memorial contribution her Mary Ann’s honor may be gifted to the family.
Visitation for Mary Ann will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 10:00 until 12:00 noon at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, 1460 W. Wooster Street, Bowling Green. A graveside committal service will immediately follow at Wood County Memory Gardens.
