Matthew Held, 46, of Wauseon,
died at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester New York on March 29, 2016 from a sudden and tragic illness. Matthew was born in Toledo Ohio on November 14, 1969. Matthew lived most of his life in Bowling Green Ohio with his mother and brother. He attended St. Aloysius School and Central Catholic High School eventually graduating from Bowling Green High School in 1989. Matt was an avid reader who loved fantasy books and historical fiction. He listened to many books on tape, and as a result attained an extensive vocabulary and appreciation for literature. Matthew had a quick wit and loved to tease people. He was a loving son, brother, husband and father. He was known for his generosity to all. He is survived by his wife Catherine and children Ella, Timothy and Steven and his mother Joyce Chamberlin of Searsmont, Maine, his brother Thomas (Gayla) Held and nephews Austin, Tanner, Bradon and Zander Held of Lewis Center, Ohio. Linda and Charles Shepard,Dorr, Michigan, Jamie Benson and partner Brian Cook of Liberty Center, Ohio Wendy and Richard Keppler, Perrysburg, Ohio, Margaret Landers and Grace Hughes, brother-in-laws Angelito Ancheta and family and Arturo Ancheta and family, sister-in-laws Concepcion Dimanliq and family and Charie Cathers and family and father-in-law Felipe Ancheta and surrogate father figure John Cathers and many cousins friends and co-workers. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Pauline Chamberlin Foster and Wendell Chamberlin, his paternal grandparents, Grace and Lewis Held. Family and friends are invited to visitation with the family at Haven Heights Baptist church 1373 N.
