Mauda~kae Morris, age 23, ran peacefully into the arms of the One she has loved and believed in her entire life, Jesus, on Friday December 22, 2023.
Mauda~kae was born on December 2, 2000 and came into our family through the gift of adoption, a gift that forever changed our lives for the better and we are so very grateful.
Throughout her life Mauda~kae endured many health challenges, yet she NEVER wavered in her faith in God and Jesus. She didn’t have a problem giving the devil the “what for”, but she stayed FAITHFUL AND TRUE TO HER LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.
Words that describe Mauda~kae are loving, brave, strong, funny, stubborn, loyal, innocent, kind, considerate, fierce, determined, sweet, kind hearted, had a sweet soul, loved others and had an infectious smile.
Mauda~kae loved Jesus- she loved talking about Jesus. Where someone spends eternity was important to her, so she wasn’t afraid to ask the HARD questions like
“Do you have Jesus in your heart?” and if not “Don’t you want to go to heaven?”
Mauda~kae was a mighty prayer warrior. If she was praying, the devil didn’t stand a chance-end of story.
Mauda~kae loved MICHIGAN (Go BLUE) because she loves her soldier boy Nick and her Lala, and they both love Michigan.
She loved Peter Pan and believed that Neverland was right next to Heaven, “second star to the right and straight on ’til morning”, and that he was her boyfriend.
She loved horses, dinosaurs, Winter the Dolphin, and dragons. Her first word after Mama and Dada was HORSE.
She loved Christmas and knew the true meaning of Christmas, but she fully believed in Santa Claus and had several personal visits with him.
Left to cherish her memory are her Momma, her “Poppa”, Auntie Karen, Sisters Rachel and Katie, Daddy Cliff, “Her” Pat, Uncle Mitch, Grandma Jean and Grandpa John, Her Lala, Her “Columbus Boys” Marc, Kirk and Nick, Nana, Auntie Tami- her lifelong BFF, Anthony, “Pineapple” Mark and Vickie, Her Troy, Her beloved puppy Cowboy and kitty Nala2, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved friends.
Mauda~kae’s legacy will continue as a foundation in her name, please consider making a memorial contributing in lieu of flowers to the family to help other children like Mauda~kae and hopefully raise more awareness to prevent the unnecessary suffering for future babies.
P.E.A.C.E. is a word our children affected by FASD rarely have and it became one of Mauda~kae’s favorite words, here’s why;
