From WOOD COUNTY HOSPITAL
The Maurer Family Cancer Care Center announces the launch of the Power of Hope Support Group, a new community initiative designed to provide support, encouragement and practical resources to individuals impacted by cancer.
The free, monthly support group is open to cancer patients at any stage, caregivers, loved ones, and anyone seeking connection and guidance during or after cancer treatment. Hosted at the Maurer Family Cancer Care Center, the Power of Hope group offers a compassionate space to share experiences, learn wellness strategies, and build a supportive network.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Explore topics such as nutrition, stress management, and self-care
- Receive insight and encouragement from experienced facilitators
- Connect with others who understand the cancer journey.
“We believe healing involves more than just medical treatment,” said Dr. Dhaval Parikh, medical director of the Maurer Family Cancer Care Center. “The Power of Hope Support Group is about helping patients and caregivers feel seen, supported and empowered.”
Sessions will take place monthly at the Maurer Family Cancer Care Center, located on the campus of Wood County Hospital.
